St George Greek Orthodox Church
New Port Richey, Florida

Proistamenos Fr Vasileios Tsourlis, April 23, 2016 St Lazarus Day, the day after Earth Day. On Saturday the community hosted a Youth Retreat: a wonderful schedule of environmentally centered events including; organic baking Lazarakia, indigenous Florida Palm Cross making and church decorations, as well as planting a garden dedicated to the beauty of Florida and environmental message. Each child planted at least one flower, bush or tree ideally attached to the Florida weather patterns with plans to water with reclaimed water... AXIOS!

The next day, Palm Sunday the children participated in the procession of the icon of Christ's Entrance into Jerusalem and had the opportunity to visit with a donkey...
